My thoughts on NHD
I hated NHD. But then again I feel as though it was my fault for not thinking wisely about what topic to choose. The only good advice I can give to myself is to pick a topic that I'm interested in and that I could get easy access to resources for. The topic I had for this year was General McClellan and the battle of Antietam. That topic was really exciting to learn about but I had no resources to back up the information that I was receiving. On top of all of that all of the information that I received most of it was probably wrong. disorganization was a big part of my not finishing my NHD project. I had to keep switching note books because I kept losing them. It made me so frustrated that three weeks later I would find all of the information in the note book that I probably would have lost in my room somewhere. I should have chosen to work with a team. But I knew no one would want to work with me since mostly every one in the class probably sees me as dead weight. I felt as though working in a team would build up pressure on me because I knew that if their was something that I didn't carry out then my team would get mad at me because I didn't carry out my duties. So the next time around I'm gonna make sure of a couple of things. #1, that I choose a topic that interesting to me and #2 keep my books in my locker until it was time for workshops. Overall NHD was a very stressful experience and I hope that next year I'll be ready and I'll be able to make a good paper so that I can win first place for next year
